Samsung sends out invitations to its August 23rd Unpacked event
This event will be on August 23rd in New York City. If you’re thinking that this date sounds familiar, that is because Samsung Korea called for an August 23rd unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Now we will need to make one thing thoroughly clean concerning the invite we obtained today. The phrases Samsung Galaxy Note 8 aren’t in writing anywhere on it. But a blue silhouette in the shape of the Samsung S Pen is included, and that pretty much takes the mystery away.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with the same 18.5:9 fine detail ratio found on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+. Depending on where you plan on buying the phablet, you can expect a Snapdragon 835 chipset or a Exynos 8895 SoC to be under the hood, with 6GB of RAM inside. A dual camera setup adorns the back of the device which will feature an updated S Pen and a 3300mAh battery.
It appears as though the fingerprint scanner will be on the back, similar to its placing on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. But there is one major distinction expected. On the two already printed flagship models, the fingerprint readerss is right next to the back again camera lens. That means that customers blindly groping for the scanner with their finger are apt to put some commercial strength smudges on the lens. If a few days ago leaked renders of the Galaxy Note 8 are correct the LED flash unit is placed in in between the biometric readerss and the camera lenses to prevent this from occurring on the phablet.
We still have more than a month until the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 views the light of day, which means that we have plenty of time for more leaks and rumors to come our way before the truth is finally outed. Feel free to check in usually to see what is new with one of the most extremely anticipated handsets expected to be launched before the end of the year.
