Huawei is established to go with the flow and adopt the new 18:9 display trend. The company’s new mid-range smartphone offers not just this kind of a screen, but also a gigantic battery. Seen as anything unusual not lengthy ago, 18:9 displays have become the norm these days, so it will be fascinating to see what other parts of a telephone will suffer this kind of modifications in the coming years.
Anyway, Huawei’s newly introduced Y9 (2018) smartphone sports activities a 5.93-inch display with FHD+ resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels) and 18:9 aspect ratio. Hardware-wise, the handset is quite decent because Huawei included an octa-core Kirin 659 processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB expandable storage.
As the title says, Huawei Y9 (2018) drains power from a massive 4,000 mAh battery and it’s not even thick at 7.9mm. On the back again the smartphone functions a dual-camera setup (13MP+2MP), while in the front it comes with a similar configuration (16MP+2MP).
Another good aspect is that it operates Android 8.0 Oreo (EMUI 8.0 included) right out of the box. The telephone has a fingerprint sensor on the back again side, which is created out of metal.
The smartphone is available in three colors – dark blue and gold, but we have yet to learn particulars concerning its price, although rumor has it it will market for around €200. For the time being, it’s only been introduced in Thailand, but we can safely assume Huawei will make it available in more countries very soon.
